That Flowing Dress
Streams of sunbeams shone through in morning mist,
Dew drops, dripping, glistening, gleaming off your fair hair,
Beds of flowers setting so softly on gentle rest,
When you came to me all around gave way, and bid farewell,
That I laid you down upon a warm meadows nest,
Under full sun our bodies came, emptied as one,
Oh, the flowing dress of dreams, of dazzling daylight beams,
Awed, I set my woeful pen at ease,
For my eyes so seared by beauty of not this world seen,
Surely have no man’s eyes gazed on someone so fair,
Give me my day, my forever, my love, my dear,
A dress that flowed, that magic that you have behold,
That God so ordained that I’d have one day to hold.
Transgressions
You soothed a restless spirit,
calmed a contentious heart,
gave pause to an anxious soul.
You pardoned and forgave my transgressions,
allowed my wanderlust,
even at your own grief and loneliness
I gave everything of my heart to you,
even if far short of what you deserved.
Of a deserved, your love I surely didn’t,
but loved you more for your open heart
and allowance then ever thought I could.
You meld to me in every way,
given your hold of me.
and keep me from sudden downward,
to despair wanting.
You saved me how many times,
buoyed by your caring,
you sheltered what was broken,
still broken, but mended by your love.
God sent you, for why, but for me.
I weep in thanks for His love, for yours,
For all you do……my love.
